Home Sharing Scheme strives to create a _Home Away from Home _by
offering people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to
experience respite in a caring environment.
Make a difference in the lives of children and adults with a learning
disability and their families by giving them a much needed break.
For the past * years has developed in St.
Michaels House. Home sharing is where people like you in the community
are recruited, assessed, trained and supported to provide short breaks
in your home, for children or adults with a disability. The frequency
of breaks depends on your availability, some host families provide day
care breaks, and others provide a short weekend break every month,
whilst others might provide breaks over holiday periods. We are
recruiting for those living in the greater Dublin area, or if you live
1 hour from Dublin.

AND ENTHUSIASTIC!
We are also looking for experienced people to provide regular breaks
per month to a guest. The needs of some people with a disability will
_require more support _therefore you must have significant experience
in the area. In recognition of this you will receive a daily &
overnight allowance accompanied by a retainer.
